Our lodge is set up as a rustic, off-grid camp experience. Generator powered, wood fire heat & of course – Lake Front!

It is partially plumbed with outside temp water(no water heater...yet), shower, sink and flushable toilet. The cabins are equipped with propane stove/oven, mini fridge, BBQ, and all the kitchen essentials - pots, pans, dishes, utensils, dish clothes, etc.

  • A: The lodge and cabins are generator-powered. Please be mindful that power may be supplied at set times or on request, so conserving energy is appreciated.

  • A: All accommodations are heated using wood stoves. Guests should be comfortable operating wood heat and understand that this is a traditional, cozy way to keep warm. Pemmican lodge staff can support if needed.

  • A: The facilities are equipped with minimal plumbing. This means water usage is limited and may be sourced from nearby bodies of water. Guests are encouraged to be prepared for a more rustic experience. Facilities are equipped for minimal plumbing securing the in-season from spring - to early fall, showers are available.

  • A: Our facilities are basic—Toilet and shower available in main lodge during spring - early fall, outhouses are also provided, and there may be limited access to showers. We recommend bringing your own biodegradable soap and comfort essentials.

  • A: Yes, land-based camping is available. We have trappers tents, tipis, and rv for rent, small cabin that will be available late summer 2026. Campers should be self-sufficient and prepared for rustic conditions, including the use of camp stoves and outdoor fire pits for cooking.

  • A: There are additional cabins and a “halfway house”/next-door house in development. These may require a boat ride and offer an even more remote wilderness experience. Please inquire for details and availability.

  • A: Yes, Pemican Lodge is family-friendly, but please note the rustic conditions (wood heat, generator power, minimal plumbing), and supervise children accordingly.

  • A: Absolutely. We ask patrons to respect water safety rules and are liable to their land-based experience when they bring your own equipment.

  • A: We are currently working on accessibility with mobility issues, as of now, we are not equipped for wheel chair access.

  • A: 5 hour drive north of Saskatoon. Bush road access, 5 minute drive through a bush trail, if your concern if your vehicle can’t make it, just contact us. Ie: A low profile Mercedes won’t be able to make it.

  • A: For longer bookings we can accommodate for wifi. However, we encourage you to disconnect and connect with nature.
